Sipping My Morning Coffee
I'm sitting here pecking away while pondering what I am going to wear to church as I sip on my morning coffee. As I peck, I thought I would share with you some of the things that have been on my mind lately--I suppose this is in part because they are all over my my radio and my television:
- Our country is at war.
- People that work everyday in our country for less wages than most--albeit illegally-- are protesting in the streets for basic human rights.
- Courts are constantly ruling to incarcerate while allowing educational systems to not educate for a myriad of reasons.
- Stress levels increase with every stop at the gas pump and every stroll down the meat aisle at the grocery store.
- The state of Georgia's government offices closed on Monday to celebrate Confederate Memorial Day.
- The dead body of a ten-year old girl with beautiful red locks was found in the home of a man who intended to eat her remains.
- People aren't happy with our President.
- Another retired military general has stepped forward shall I say "a day late and a dollar short"--this time our former Secretary of State Colin Powell.
- Good news for coffee lovers--its not so bad afterall.
Well, back to sippin' my mornin' coffee.
